Unexpected Item

Along with designer Lizzie Frost, I was commissioned by the Peckham Festival 2016 to create a piece of work celebrating Peckham High Street. We asked six local shopkeepers to share a recipe that they love, cooked from ingredients found in their own shop. The shopkeepers and their dishes' main ingredients were documented in an exhibition at Copeland Gallery, but – to find out what the actual dishes were – festival goers had to visit the shops themselves, where they could pick up a recipe card. The visual identity was inspired by the bold geometric aesthetic of store cupboard staples from around the world.
